Well Isn't This Awkward [CLOSED]

The moment Eugene had been accepted into the Ranger Union's trainee program, he began his studies that involved anything related to his new home region and the field of work he was about to begin. His desk, a usually clean and ordered space, was cluttered by books, files, and papers about the history of Flora Islands and various warrants placed on the criminals that dotted the many landmasses. His nights were long and hard, but he couldn't go into his new position without any prior knowledge of what he would be doing.

During his intensive studies while reading about Arum Island, he noticed their prized hot springs. Although he was away from home and his parents had not expected him to worry about his future career as his mother's successor, the thought of visiting and discussing business with these other hot spring owners intrigued him.

Without a second thought, the blond headed to Azalea Springs. The trip itself was long, spanning most of his afternoon and even into his evening. Traveling across the islands would be a bother, especially for someone who's job included answering calls of distress across the entire region.

Eugene finally arrived as the sun began to set. The scene itself was beautiful as he walked down the path towards the hot springs. A beautiful orange, pink, and purple mix was painted across the growing dark blue of the sky. A few stars began to appear at the utmost top of the sky, just above him and the island he stood on. He continued to admire the scenic view until a few trees blocked his view and he found himself at the front doors of his destination. Letting out a few sigh to calm his rising nerves, the boy pushed open the door and pressed inside.

The inside was no different that his mother's location. Various plants and photos of landscapes and Pokémon dotted the floors and walls. His eyes followed the brown walls until he came upon the front desk. He stood for a moment, waiting for someone to come out from behind some wall, but after a minute without and sign of anyone, he decided to call out. "Hello? Is anyone here?"

Eliza knew she had business she needed to take care of back at the manor, but truthfully she needed time to relax after something she had to deal with. Being one of the leader's of Team Sable was rather time consuming and stressful, but she wouldn't give it up. It was her dream job. She loved helping her father and she wouldn't ask to do anything different, but maybe a little more time away from it so that way she could have days like this occasionally.

She had shown up on the island earlier in the day, and spent the day in the spring relaxing with her shiny ducklett, of course with her garchomp standing guard. Her other pokemon didn't care to join, but they rested in their pokeballs of to the side with other accessories the admin didn't want getting wet. She relaxed while her Cutie Pie swam about happily in the water occasionally splashing to get clean.

After a while Eliza decided it was time to leave, she took care of everything. She had her pokemon at her side again in their rightful safe place, and where she could get to them quickly if she needed them, and her ducklett was sitting in her arms, happily enjoying her time with her trainer. The admin's blonde hair was still wet and hanging down almost to her ankles from being wet. She walked out to the front where she saw a boy standing who called out for someone a moment earlier. "Strange.. The owner was here earlier.." She said casually not knowing this man was apart of the ranger corp. Her shiny ducklett quaked happily in her arms.

The ranger jumped as a woman stepped out from one of the luxury pools they offered at Azalea Springs. He craned his neck back to look at the newcomer. It didn't seem like she was one of the workers here, judging from her damp, darkened blonde hair. As he looked closer at her, he felt a sense of familiarity building up in his gut, along with a sensation of urgency and danger. His brows furrowed and his red eyes narrowed. He couldn't place a name to the face, but he knew something was off about her.

As he was about to open his mouth, a quacking sound came from her arms. Glancing down, he was startled to see a happy Ducklett wrapped in the stranger's arms. Although the most startling part was not its presence, but the odd colouring. Rather than the sky blue the bird Pokémon adorned, this little duck wore pink and purple feathers. Eugene's eyes widened. He had never seen a shiny Pokémon in person. How lucky had this girl been to catch such a rare creature?

"I-I guess not," he responded, swallowing hard and looking back at the desk for a moment. He stared down at the cash register, his stomach aching from not knowing who this lady was. Turning his whole body around, he nodded at the blonde. "I'm sorry to be a bother, but have we met before? You seem oddly familiar."

When Eliza saw Eugene jump she giggled a little, but she wasn't going for that reaction at all. She kept her purple eyes on the man noting that he had narrowed his eyes. She tense slightly ready for anything to happen if this man was a threat to her. She didn't make any sudden movement though. She wasn't here to cause any trouble, just wanted a nice relaxing day. She didn't want to give anything away if this man didn't know anything about her.

Then his attention went to Cutie Pie, who just looked up at him in return. Looking at him with a slight shine in her eyes as he observed her strange coloring for a moment. Then his attention turned away again back to the empty desk. Eliza just stood there for a moment trying to decide what to do. Should she just leave or just continue a conversation that could potentially lead to a battle? She tilted her head slightly at his question, Cutie Pie mimicking the behavior. "No I don't think so. I haven't seen your face before." She said in a calm tone. "I'm sure I would have remembered it if I had met you." She said to Eugene, hoping this wouldn't lead to a confrontation. She didn't need that after she just spent all this time relaxing.
