Team Emerald is a relatively new criminal syndicate that have been operating for the past five years. Originally an off-shoot of Team Sable, it operated in former Sable territory, Plumeria Island until it split from the main organisation in a mutiny lead by a former officer, Marianne Achterburg. Since then, the group has taken over Plumeria Island, engaging in criminal activity ranging from pokemon trafficking to far more serious crimes such as assassinations, human trafficking and drug dealing using the Island's busy ports.
