About the Arena

An earthen battlefield flanked by rows of bleachers. For the most part, it's flat and level, several layers of soft soil over a bed of rocks, but there are deep grooves in parts of the field as a legacy of older battles. It's a covered hall attached to the side of the school, with sprinklers on the ceiling to simulate rain, a powder machine to simulate hail, a large fan to simulate a sandstorm, and bright lights to simulate harsh sunlight. While it's used as a classroom for live demonstrations and sparring sessions, students are free to use the field at any time on any day outside of class hours.
